Diamond Fundamentals
Introduction to Gemology
This introductory course provides a practical overview of diamonds and their key characteristics. Participants will learn about the formation of diamonds, the principles of grading, and the factors that influence value and authenticity. Topics include:
- The origin and formation of diamonds
- Understanding the 4C’s: cut, color, clarity and carat
- Introduction to diamond grading standards
- Basic identification techniques
- Market context and valuation principles
The course is intended for beginners and professionals who want a solid foundation in diamond knowledge. Included in the program are lunch and coffee during the break. The course covers an entire day.
