The work carried out by Expert Diamond often requires a unique combination of skills: deep technical knowledge of gemstones, understanding of the international diamond market, and the ability to provide clear and independent expert opinions in complex situations.

Eddy Vleeschdrager, founder of Expert Diamond, represents the fourth generation of a family active in the diamond trade. Over the course of his career he has worked across many aspects of the industry, including manufacturing, gemological expertise and arbitration, and has served as an expert for courts, institutions and professional organizations.

He works together with Florence Nobels, a certified gemologist and diamond grader with extensive experience in diamond grading, laboratory work and the administration of professional organizations within the Antwerp diamond sector.

Together they provide independent expertise, analysis and advisory services for professionals, institutions and private clients requiring reliable assessments of diamonds and gemstones.

Eddy Vleeschdrager

Active in the diamond industry since 1966 - Expert witness, consultant and gemologist.

Active in the diamond and gemstone sector since 1966, Eddy Vleeschdrager represents the fourth generation of a family involved in the diamond trade. Over more than five decades he has combined practical experience in diamond manufacturing with gemological expertise, consultancy and arbitration within the international diamond industry.

He received professional training in diamond cutting and gemstone processing in Antwerp and Idar-Oberstein and later obtained the title of Graduated Gemmologist (HRD) and Diamond Grader (EGL). Throughout his career he has served as an independent expert and consultant for courts, institutions and international organizations.

His work includes expert assignments in Belgium and abroad, advisory roles in the diamond sector, teaching in gemology, and participation in professional and arbitration bodies related to diamonds and precious stones.

Florence Nobels

Gemologist and diamond grader - active in grading, laboratory analysis and the Antwerp diamond trade.

Florence Nobels is a certified gemologist and diamond grader with professional experience in diamond grading, laboratory work and the administration of industry organizations within the Antwerp diamond sector.

She obtained her gemological qualifications through the Hoge Raad voor Diamant (HRD Antwerp) and further complemented her expertise with business studies at Solvay Business School (ULB). Her professional activities combine gemological analysis with involvement in the organizational and institutional structures of the Antwerp diamond trade.

Florence is a member of the Antwerp Diamond Club and ABEX (Association Belge des Experts), and is actively involved in the administration of the diamond bourse “Vrije Diamanthandel”.
